With a strong affection for the mountains, lakes and outdoor activities, Judy said, "I think it's one of the best places in the world to live for all the recreational opportunities."
From 1993 to 1995, Judy worked as a field appraiser for the Sublette County Assessor's Office. It was this experience and knowledge of obtaining data to value improvements throughout the county that guided her in the direction of obtaining her real estate license.
After starting her career in real estate in 1995, Judy received her Associate Broker's License in 1997. Today, Judy is the Responsible Broker and Partner for Allen Agency Real Estate. In 2009 she was named the "Gold" Winner in the Real Estate Broker section of the Sublette Examiner's "Best of Sublette County" awards.
Judy holds the professional designation of GRI-Graduate Realtors Institute and is a CRS designate (A Member of the Council of Residential Specialist), one of only two Realtors in Sublette County to hold that designation.
Judy was the top producer for Allen Agency Real Estate for 12 years and has extensive experience in residential, vacant land, commercial and investment, as well as ranch real estate sales.
With more than 14 years of listing and selling real estate in Sublette County, Judy has gained extensive experience in all types of property sales. Judy averages approximately 50 transactions per year.
Property Management is another one of Judy's specialties, and she has managed a large number of units in her real estate career.
Judy's 10 years of service with the State of Wyoming and position of Management Services Officer has given her great insight and skills in managing and supervising employees, helping her to manage and successfully operate the Brokerage.
Judy's approach to her work means taking the time and making the effort to complete a transaction and effectively market her listings. She is a reliable and responsible professional for all of her clients. Honesty is paramount to her in today's real estate market. She works hard to preserve her reputation of integrity.
Judy was raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and attended the University of Wyoming. After traveling as a member of a rock and roll band, she returned to her hometown of Cheyenne to marry and raise her family. Judy moved to Pinedale in 1992 and started her career in real estate in 1995.
Judy is married to Scott Smith and is the proud mother of two grown children.
As an outdoor enthusiast, Judy enjoys running, golfing, skiing, fishing, tennis, camping and hunting as well as spending as much time as possible with her three dogs, two cats and two horses.
